3.2 Cloudflare Turnstile

3.3 Profanity‑Checker API

Used to filter inappropriate content in contact form messages. Only the message text is sent to this service.

4. Find Feature (Location Search)

When you use the Find tool:

4.1 Nominatim (OpenStreetMap)

Your entered location is sent to Nominatim to convert it into coordinates.

4.2 RecycleMate

The converted location is sent to RecycleMate to determine correct recycling instructions.

4.3 Leaflet

RecycleMate may use Leaflet (their map renderer) to display results.

4.4 We do not store your location

WasteWise does not save or retain your address or coordinates.

5. IP Lookup Services

We use the following services to determine your region and show correct recycling information:

  • ip-api.com
  • ipify.com

These services receive your IP address to return general location data (e.g., state or region).

6. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the site performs. These tools may collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Page load times
  • General traffic patterns

We do not use advertising, tracking cookies, or behavioural profiling.

7. Why We Collect Information

We collect and process information to:

  • Deliver your messages to us
  • Run quizzes and polls

8. How Long We Keep Information
